When a natural product is extracted by a supercritical extraction method, carbon dioxide (CO2) is generally used as an extractant. Because the critical temperature of CO2 (31 ° C) is close to room temperature, less damage to volatile or physiologically active substances. At the same time, CO2 is safe and non-toxic, extraction and separation can be completed at one time, no residue, suitable for food and drug extraction. So usually applied to the food industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the cosmetics industry…etc.

  • Pharmaceutical industry: Supercritical extraction technology for the purification of enzymes, vitamins, etc. extraction of pharmaceutical ingredients in animals and plants, concentration and refining of pharmaceutical raw materials, separation of sugars and proteins, separation and purification of desolvent fat mixtures.
